Back in August, my cousin Lauretta and her husband Dave along with their 2 children Rachael and Joshua came to my house for a Lifestyle Family Portrait Session! To be honest, it was kind of strange doing a photo session at your own living quarters – but it worked!

It was quite tough getting ONE photo of everyone smiling for the camera. Rachael was having an “interesting” day. LOL. So for the rest of the session, we pretty much had to break off into groups of 2 or less. But that is quite alright because that is what Lifestyle Portrait Sessions are all about!

This is one of my favourites of Rachael. She very carefully placed her Curious George stuffed toy into the grass and then lay down beside him – too cute.

My outdoor cats were no where to be seen after they saw a minivan with 2 kids pull into the driveway – LOL. This was the only cat Joshua saw during our 3 hour session – my indoor cat Abby.

Rachael “catching a surprise”.

I loved this photo of Dave, Joshua and the banana.

This image would make a fabulous 24×30 Canvas Gallery Wrap over a couch or fireplace – hint, hint!

Joshua biting Rachael’s finger.

I am certainly looking forward to doing more of these sessions!

On Saturday I got together with Jami and Ryan at McGowan Falls in Durham for a Winter Portrait Session! We had fun in the snow and cold for about an hour or so. The results were totally worth the chill! Here is a sneak peak – more to come later:

  1. I really love the next to last one with her looking back at you. Really nice work.

Back in July I had the privilege of photographing little Zachary, a precious newborn of only 4 days old.

Here are a few images from the session.

LOL.

This is one of my fav’s.

Of course I had to take a photo of the cat!
