Muskoka Trash-the-Dress Session :: Lindsay & Steve
posted September 17th, 2010 by Stacey

I can’t post their wedding photos (yet…..), but I can post their trash-the-dress session.

Lindsay and Steve were married on August 7th at the Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, ON .  (Obama was there just a few weeks prior - as Maxwell Smart used to say “missed him by that much”).  Their wedding ended at 2am, but Lindsay and Steve were back down to the beach by 6:30am to do their trash-the-dress session with me.  I only got 2 hours sleep (up late downloading memory cards from their wedding for safety), so we were all slightly sleepy for the session, but apparently that didn’t matter because I think the results were fab ; )  I have to thank both of them for being so incredibly cooperative and agreeing to rise and shine so early.

Lindsay and Steve have been an item for the past 10 years - they were high school sweethearts.  A decade later they are both in some very exciting places.  Lindsay worked her tail off to become a doctor and is just a few steps away from becoming a dermatologist!  Steve was drafted into the NHL, has played on a variety of teams and recently moved from playing for the Anaheim Ducks to the New York Rangers.  Go Rangers!

I can’t wait to share their wedding images with you, but for now I am posting a few images from their TTD Session - enjoy!

So this is what the beach at the Deerhurst Resort looks like at 6:30am.

So Muskoka.

Loved Lindsay’s dress - totally suited her and the entire theme of their wedding which you’ll see later.

Evidently Steve has been working on his Rhomboids, Traps, Lats and Posterior Deltoids : )

Lindsay is going to be a cute dermatologist!

Loved these.

On the wedding day, I took far more solo photos of Lindsay than I did of Steve. This is typical of what I do at any given wedding - the bride gets photographed more than the groom (nothing personal). However, I thought I would balance it out for their trash-the-dress session, so hopefully no one will mind.

The Petro-Canada logo gives me a good chuckle.  Some serious juxtaposition here.

Meow - the gas pump series were my favourite.

Sassy.

Thanks for viewing. This was actually my first ever trash-the-dress session in Canada. The other ones I have done were all shot in the Dominican Republic. The change was nice, although it was challenging in a way because I didn’t have any palm trees to work with this time. But change is good! I am so glad Lindsay and Steve opted for this session.

Absolutely amazing photographs. The black and white ones in particular are so raw and passionate. You can really see their love for each other. Really love these photographs
